How Does Nintendo Switch Charging Port Repair Option Work?
Once our repairers get your Nintendo Switch on their desk, they will test it out to diagnose the fault. We can usually see bent pins or the centre plastic strip has damage to it.
We then have to open the Switch to remove the logic board so we can desolder the old port and replace it with a new one. We also clean the Switch out while we are in there and refresh the thermal paste.
The Switch is then reassembled for testing where we use a meter to make sure the correct voltage and current is being drawn by the console.
