How Does The PS5 Pro Loud Fan or Overheating Repair Option Work?
Once our repairers get your PS5 Pro on their desk, they will test it out to diagnose the fault.
The PS5 Pro is then stripped all the way down. We use air lines and a dust extraction bench to clear out all the dust that has built up inside the PS5 Pro, including in the PSU. We also clean up any oxidised liquid metal from the APU and heatsink and top up with fresh liquid metal.
We also clean out the disk drive if dust has got inside that too - they are usually ok though.
Once the service is complete, we test the PS5 Pro out to make sure it isn't overheating.
