How Does The MacBook Keyboard Replacement Option Work?
Once our repairers get your MacBook on their desk, they will test it out to diagnose the fault. Depending on the model they have to take all the internals out.
The MacBook can have a USB C port which is soldered to the board, or the port can be separate and plugged in via a cable. Either way, we will replace the damaged port.
With USB C MacBooks, there is a risk that the damaged port has sent a power surge through the USB C circuit and damaged other components. If this has happened with yours, we would let you know as their may be an increase in cost.
Once replaced, the Macbook is reassembled for testing.
